Some of the best views in this part of Florida are along Florida’s east coast, Intracoastal Waterway. This is a wide body of water that seperates the mainland from the barrier islands of Florida’s east coast. It runs from Miami all the way up to New York and beyond. It is basically like a highway for all things boating. Whether you want to go out offshore fishing in the Atlantic, or stay in the back country flats fishing or just having a picnic on one of the thousands of islands where you can beach your boat, the ICW is the way to get there. From your back porch or boat house, you can watch everything from sailboat’s, barge’s, dolphin’s and manatee’s, to kayaker’s and paddle boarder’s. Occasionally you may even see some of the local rowing teams cruising through. With amazing fishing in this part of Florida, you can just drop a line off of your dock and catch dinner.
